Seriously, what the hell ? A B7 for under $45k, and nobody is remotely interested .

I’ll give them $19k tops

I’ll give them $19k and ONE cent...

I’ll give them five bucks and a coupon to Dairy Queen.

$45k for a used BMW vs. $45k for a new BMW. Its not really a fair calculation to make, but I guarantee many potential buyers are making it anyway.

I feel like this is one of those vehicles that people who can afford them, buy new/lease. Anyone looking at it from a used standpoint is not going to want to fuck with fixing it.

That’s an impressive CL write-up. Glad to see somebody at least kinda cares about what they sell.

Have you priced the extended warranty? it should be about 8 grand.. and i dont know anyone that wants one without a warranty ..

The extended warranty on my M3 was like that much and I was like nah, I’ll just risk it.

Good bet on the m3, on a 7 series with a turbo v8? no fucking way, the way they eat valve seals, timing chains, tensioners...etc...its not if, its when..

One dollar, Bob!

It’s a used 7 series. People which can really afford them buy/lease them new, people that want them to show off can’t afford $45k.
Then there are people that know how much repairs would...let’s rephrase, how much repairs will cost and are not crazy enough to buy one.
That car is just out of it’s sweet spot - not new and reliable enough, and not old and cheap enough.

The 550/M5 Series F10 with a tune is faster, and those are under $20-30k.

On the one hand, it is the LWB which is what I would want, but understandably not what most people would want in what is essentially the M7. And you have to really like that body style to still shell out 45g for one. I’d love to own one, but not until that depreciation curve bottoms out at maybe $12,000 in another 5 years.
Plus, it doesn’t have the panache of the supercharged E65 version, now matter how ugly they were on the outside.

I have a Susan B. Anthony dollar in my pocket.. let’s deal.

Priced $10k too high. As others noted, it’s in the grey area between too old/not cheap enough and new and worth it.

It’s because these are terrible and heinous pieces of shit hiding behind an illustrious badge. Nothing can mask the E65 beneath, it’s like Nickelback playing a cover of With A Little Help From My Friends . A great song does not a good band make.

gotta find the right buyer - most folks don’t even know what an Alpina is... And it’s not blue?

I would have lost that bet on mine, had anyone offered it. Still miss it, though.

I feel like that’s how everyone feels about them, they’re expensive but as soon as you sell it, you miss it.
